This project was to create an indoor/outdoor stacking chair for a modern
European brand. I knew I
wanted to explore interesting patterns on a classical shape. I was inspired by the ocean waves and wanted to translate a linear movement that would resonate.

This project was to create an indoor/outdoor lounge chair for a modern European brand. The challenge was to make something both interesting and easy to mass produce. I was inspired by bent plywood, cup and swing-like forms, as well as, prisms. A chair that might scoop you away.

The project was to recreate a white lacquered credenza for a modern American brand. Inspired by art and architecture, I wanted to add texture to a monochromatic piece by using different techniques -- Cutouts, patterns, shadows and print.

This was a personal project that was selected by DWR's M+D+F show. I was intrigued with the idea of applying a non-conventional material to an otherwise basic form. In this case, I wanted to explore new materials that would weave like knits but wore like wire.

Approximately 3,000 knots were tied in only two weeks to make this table. Endless thanks to the family, friends, coffee and electronic music that helped make this happen. "That what doesn't kill us makes us stronger." -- Friedrich Nietzsche/Kelly Clarkson
